Last week I held my first funeral according to the latest COVID 19 regulations. The service was held in a local crematorium, provided that I had 15 minutes to convene and that there would be no mourners.

The deceased had not died of Covid-19, and I had agreed to attend the funeral a few weeks ago. Everything had changed between then and now. In my early conversations with the next of kin who lived away, they looked forward to the service, but thought that mourners would be few and far between for health reasons. A few guidelines later it became clear that I would be the only one there.
