A blessing or a curse?

The Sight Of You by Holly Miller is a very beautiful contemporary novel about love. It is a story that made me smile and also made me cry. Love radiated from the sides and wrapped around me.

Love is not all heart, roses and chocolates. Love demands so much more. Love is not selfish. Love is a victim. It gives away regardless of personal costs.

The characters are wonderfully drawn. There is a chemistry between the two leading ones that is palpable. It is their voices that tell the story as the chapters alternate between them. The reader gets to know both. We feel love and we feel pain.

Some gifts with which we are born are both a blessing and a curse. The reader understands the tension within a character and we empathize with the decisions made.

The whole story is beautifully written. It is about a love that is so great that the reader cannot help but get caught up in it. My feelings were everywhere when I read. You definitely need handkerchiefs.

I think The Sight Of You would make a wonderful film … all the producers out there, please note … Sandra Bullock and Ryan Gosling would be perfect in the leading roles.

I want more, more, more from Holly Miller, please.

I will leave you a powerful quote:

"Love is not about making simple decisions … it's about hard transplantation and calls, the victims you don't want to make.
