The Essex minister, who was wrongly accused of conceiving a parishioner, still has to leave the parish, a church court ruled.

St. James' vicar at Leigh-on-Sea, Rev. William Bulloch, was acquitted of an affair with parishioner "AB" in January (News, January 24). The tribunal that negotiated the case was brought in by the Archdeacon of Southend, the Ven. Michael Lodge concluded that the pregnancy was part of a larger "outrageous" deception in which AB convinced Mr. Bulloch and his wife that they had an incurable disease.
