As the places of worship on the continent reopen (News, May 22), Christian groups are asking governments to learn lessons from the Covid 19 crisis by introducing reforms to help the poorest and weakest.

"Although we have all assumed that the pandemic will continue as usual after the end of this pandemic, real initiatives now seem to be under consideration," said Caritas Europa political and legal adviser Peter Verhaeghe. The organization has member organizations in 46 countries.
