Settle for me from Marion Ueckermann
Look for roots
Accept Me by Marion Ueckermann is a very charming contemporary Christian novel and part of the Chapel Cove Romance series. It can be read as a stand-alone book, but I enjoyed meeting familiar faces.
Marion Ueckermann always writes novels that warm and calm the soul. She draws characters that always move into my heart.
The novel examines the effects of shifting foundations on life. What do we do when everything that seemed familiar to us and on which we have built our life is shaken to the core? "If she wasn't still angry with God, she would have shot a prayer up to heaven." When life throws a curve ball at us, we either move closer to God or further away than to Him never moves away from us. We have to let heaven give you the hope you need. God can take our anger out of situations. We have to give him our anger and trade him for his peace. We need to know that "God is good even if we can't see it". God is faithful and will patiently wait for our anger to subside.
Our heritage is important. We all want to know where we come from.
Adoption is a subject that reminds the reader that we are all accepted into God's family. Our birth parents may reject us, but our heavenly Father will never do it.
The novel has two themes: rescue and healing. God saves us from our situations and heals our injuries.
Chapel Cove has a wonderful community atmosphere. The residents take strangers under their wing and welcome them. Hearts and life receive love, hope and healing.
When a character searches for its roots to find out where it belongs, it receives a revelation: "With God at your side, was at home everywhere."
I adore accept myself. It was a charming read – a hug in a book. I loved it. I always love Marion Ueckermann's novels. If you haven't read one yet, miss it.
I got this book for free. A positive rating was not required and all views expressed are my own.
