Ravi Zacharias most cancers has unfold; Docs say there may be nothing extra he can do for him
Ravi Zacharias's cancer has spread and doctors have told him that there is nothing more that can be done for him medically.
The Christian apologist was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer in March 2020 and has undergone chemotherapy. However, the condition of the area where the cancer has metastasized has worsened.
Sarah Davis, daughter of Ravi and CEO of Zacharias International Ministries, shared the news with the ministry officials on Friday. She said to them, "We just learned that the area where the cancer metastasized actually deteriorated while the tumor in my father's sacrum responded to chemotherapy."
She added, "His oncologist told us that this cancer is very rare in its aggression and that there are no options for further treatment. From a medical point of view, they have done everything they can."
Zacharias' family will now return to Atlanta, Davis said, so "our family can be together for whatever time the Lord gives us".
The apologist publicly announced that he had been diagnosed with bone cancer on his Facebook page in March. He told followers that doctors had discovered a tumor on the sacrum that was identified as a cancer called sarcoma.
When Zacharias made this announcement in March, he said, "We trust the Lord in it and we believe we have already seen evidence of his hand. We have literally received thousands of messages from people around the world who said you had prayed. "
He added: "I have every belief that God has guided and has prompted my surgeon to discover this tumor.
"Margie, I and our family are so grateful for your continued prayers for the forthcoming journey. We trust the Lord for his purpose. Please also pray that God will take away this terrible night pain, which is the hardest part to wait."
Zacharias recently shared a picture of himself and his wife on his Instagram page when they celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary. With the picture he wrote: "In sickness and health."

He added: "Our 48th wedding anniversary looked different from the others, but three things remain the same: our love for each other, the gift of family and friends who shower us with kindness, and the loyalty of our great God."
The article concluded: "Thank you to everyone who sent greetings and encouraging words to Margie and me on this occasion.
"Please keep us in your prayers as I fight cancer and accept our gratitude for your love and friendship."
