When I think of breakfast ideas, I immediately think of OATMEAL! I am a lover of all things oats. A few recipes that I recommend are Latte Overnight Oats with Greek Yogurt and Chocolate Peanut Butter Overnight Oats with Yogurt. What if I told you that you could put CAULIFLOWER in your oats and it would be so filling, tasty and nutritious that it would become one of your favorites? I know it sounds crazy, but this one Protein cauliflower oats will blow you away!

Protein cauliflower oat ingredients

Stay with me, ladies and gentlemen, because you will be SO SURPRISED by these amazing people Cauliflower protein oats. YES, they contain cauliflower, but you won't be mad if you find out that it is combined with sweet strawberries and tastes absolutely delicious! To make them, you need the following:

  • Coconut oil
  • Sliced ​​strawberries
  • Old-fashioned oatmeal (gluten-free if necessary)
  • cinnamon
  • Sweetener of choice (I use stevia)
  • Frozen rice cauliflower
  • water
  • Vanilla protein powder
  • peanut butter

What kind of protein powder for cauliflower oats?

I love a good shot of protein in a meal when I wasn't expecting it, right? It's like that extra bonus and the food you keep giving by keeping you full and satisfied! Feel free to use the protein powder you prefer in these oats. I love vanilla flavored protein powder, but you could easily choose chocolate!

How to make oats

Now that I have convinced you that cauliflower in oats is NOT strange and fancy, are you ready to start this party? How to make this oat a delicious reality!

Sautee

In a medium-sized pan, melt the coconut oil over medium heat. Put the strawberries in the pan and cook, stirring frequently, until the strawberries are soft and lightly browned. Put them aside.

stir

Mix the oats, cinnamon and sweetener well in a small saucepan. Add the diced cauliflower and water and stir again.

cook

Bring the mixture to a boil in the small saucepan over high heat. Next, turn the heat down to low and cook with frequent stirring until the mixture is creamy but there is still some water left. This should take about 5 minutes.

Top it and enjoy

Remove from the heat, put in a bowl and top with strawberries and peanut butter. Devour!

Directional ideas

What could be better after having a hot bowl of delicious oats? TOPPINGS of course! I guarantee that you will love the sauteed strawberries and peanut butter. However, if you want to change something the next time you make these oatmeal, here are some more ideas:

ingredients

  • 1 TL Coconut oil
  • 1/3 Cup Strawberries, cut
  • 1/2 Cup Rolled, old-fashioned oats (GF if necessary)
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • Pinch of sweetener of choice (I use stevia)
  • 1/2 Cup Frozen rice cauliflower
  • 1 1/3 cups water
  • 3rd tablespoon Vanilla protein powder, of your choice
  • 1 tablespoon Cashew butter (or any nut butter)

  2. Mix the oats, cinnamon and sweetener in a small saucepan. Add the diced cauliflower and water and stir.

  3. Bring the cauliflower to a boil over high heat. Then reduce to low and cook until creamy, but still leave some water, stir very often. This takes about 5 minutes.

  4. Place in a bowl and stir in the protein powder, then pour the strawberries and nut butter over it.
