Love & # 39; s Autumn Harvest by Patricia Lee
Love & # 39; s Autumn Harvest by Patricia Lee is an absolutely charming contemporary Christian novel about friendship and second chances. It is part of the Mended Hearts series.
I thought it was great that the main characters were in their fifties and not the first flush of youth. Patricia Lee wrote a nice story about a widow and a widower who are neighbors. They live in parallel as both try to recover from the loss of their spouses.
No matter how old our children get, we will still drop everything for them and our grandchildren. Eily's life revolves around her family and church. It spreads love and friendliness wherever it goes.
Sometimes cracks develop within families. The reader sees the huge gap that opened after the loss. The years have not bridged the pain. The past needs to be addressed and the pain healed.
There is a wonderful warm atmosphere that surrounds not only the characters but also the reader.
Love's autumn harvest was also a wonderfully enjoyable read. It's the little things in life that make us smile. Humor connects. There were times when I literally laughed out loud. Who can forget the chic shoes and the crap?
People sometimes have to be saved – sometimes it's physical, but we all need God to save us when our lives are separate from his. I loved this quote: "Who is stopping you?" "My Lord and my prayers."
I can't get enough of Patricia Lee. Your novels are so deliciously warm and charming. Your writing swells my heart and makes me smile. She is on my list of favorite authors.
I got this book for free. A positive rating was not required and all views expressed are my own.
