in the The Gospel Story Bible for beginners (see link below) Jared Kennedy introduces very young children to the basic story of the Bible. Here he extends the decisive turning point in the Bible and world history. The story takes place in four chapters, each of which contains the corresponding scriptures: "Jesus rides to Jerusalem", "Jesus' Last Supper", "Jesus dies for us" and "Jesus lives!" This makes it easy to divide into four separate measurements that correspond to Palm Sunday, Sedar, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday. As in the Gospel Story Bible, deep topics are broken down into simple sentences that very young children can understand. For example: “Jesus died because WE are doing wrong things. Jesus took the punishment for OUR disobedience and our sin. Jesus died instead of us. “The crucifixion itself is also simplified, but effective:“ On the top of the hill, the soldiers put Jesus on the cross. They hammered nails through Jesus' feet and hands and left Jesus there to die. "
"Let him die" pierces my heart. The picture shows a hand that was pierced by a nail with drops of blood, but in the simple form that communicates without fear of communicating. Each chapter ends with a question and an application to the child's experience. Meanwhile, the book treats the resurrection as directly relevant to readers, no matter how young or old – which is natural! If God wants, this story will also pierce their hearts.
