Gratitude from Inspirational Workforce at Shazzy Health
O thank the Lord that he is good and His mercy lasts forever.
Every year as we approach Thanksgiving, whether on paper or in our minds, many of us start to make lists: menus, shopping lists, guest lists and even our Christmas lists. For some of us, another list comes up: a gratitude list, a list of all the things we are thankful for. A "gratitude list" begins in our minds, flows from our hearts and creates an "attitude of gratitude" in us”. Webster defines gratitude as the state of thanks: gratitude. If we consciously think about and list all things for which we have to be grateful, we will be overwhelmed with gratitude. Think for a moment of a time when you received a gift or someone did something for you and you thanked and thought, "That was nice of them." Now think of another time when you received a gift or an act of kindness and felt overwhelmed by emotions, maybe even cried tears of joy. We received the first gift with appreciation, the second with heartfelt gratitude.
Gratitude is a very strong emotion. It has the ability to change our mood, our day and even our lives. It can get us out of depression and help us relieve stress, even in the middle of an ongoing stressful phase in our lives. Sometimes we are in a bad mood and feel like we are having a bad day. If we focus on our blessing for a few moments, we will feel our mood lift and our perspective change. Gratitude can also bring peace to us. In Philippians 4: 6-7 "God tells us that if we offer our prayers with thanksgiving, we will have peace that we do not understand. "
There is an old song that, in the midst of the trials and difficulties of life, tells us: count your blessings, call them one by one; Count your blessings and see what God did. Throughout the song, different life scenarios are listed and end with the blessings you receive when you take the time to be thankful. God wants us to see our blessings and live a life in gratitude, not just for a day or a season, but every day. It will change our lives and give us peace in the midst of life's storms. Let's start our day with a thank you prayer and at night. "If you are worried and cannot sleep, count your blessing instead of sheepAnd you will fall asleep and count your blessings.”(Songwriter: Cole Porter)
