Free Suspense – D.L. Wooden
WINNER OF THE 2016 ILLUMINATION BOOK AWARDS GOLD MEDAL FOR CHRISTIAN EBOOK FICTION
Travel photojournalist Chloe McConnaughey believed she understood her brother Tate – a brilliant programmer who is willing to compromise anything to get ahead. She just didn't know she was one of them.
When Tate dies unexpectedly, Chloe copes with a job in the Caribbean where she meets Jack, a charming Manhattan refugee who almost believes life could change. But the illusion is shaken when a series of bizarre incidents of murder and escape from murderers convince her that Chloe is the key to questions that Tate left behind. Suddenly Jack's timely entry into her life seems to be more than coincidental, but since Chloe can't go anywhere else, she has to trust this man, who is not only charming, but also dangerous, and is much better at avoiding capture than he is should. Chloe is burdened to the breaking point by a life that is characterized by tragedies and fights a feeling of hopelessness. She faces the age-old question: If it's not all coincidental – if God exists – why should He allow bad things to happen to good people?
Chloe and Jack are chased from the tiny island of St. Gideon to Miami, desperately looking for evidence to prove their innocence and eliminate them as targets of the shady conspiracy that stops at nothing to solve their problems.
If you are like me and really like reading a story full of excitement, excitement and much more, here is a brand new author with a brand new series! I have to say that this exciting novel was a story about steroids since it never allows more twists and turns than I can remember. I found this treasure while surfing Amazon and looking for books to read, new authors, or something that was out of the ordinary in writing style. D. L. Woods does a phenomenal job of grabbing the reader's attention and interest from the very beginning to the epilogue! This year, a sequel titled Unintended Witness appears, which continues with the main characters we learn about in Book 1. You would normally have to drink caffeine to stay alert, but this book does it for you!
