Evie's ghost by Helen Peters
Education and entertainment
Evies Ghost by Helen Peters is a charming time-lapse novel from the age of ten. I am much older and I loved it.
The action is today and in 1814 as an old house that unites characters.
The reader is trained in the customs of the day. There were no children's and women's rights. The poor knew their place in society because the intermixing of classes was actively discouraged. Life was hard and children were literally worked to death. In 1814, society was dominated by rich men.
The reader experiences how a character experiences a change of heart while learning about hard work and putting others first.
Evie's mind is a fiction that is educational and entertaining. I loved it and intend to hunt more of Helen Peters.
