Don't rely on pharaoh

Scripture reading: Exodus 35: 30-33; Proverbs 22:29

Believe it or not, God's strategy to transform society involves developing economic stability. What does the economy have to do with the transformation of a culture?

In Deuteronomy 28:12, God said to Israel that if they obeyed him, they would be a lender to other nations and never a borrower. When God's people were disobedient, they became debtors and fell into poverty. They had to rely on pagans, Pharaoh, to make a living.

This economic strategy is still good today. Gentiles will not fund God's program. With economic independence through hard work and skills, God's people can continue to influence Christ. We can do his business in his own way because we use his resources.

As long as you work for the pharaoh and depend on him, he will never let you go.
