Rev. Michael Herenz, bishop of Northeast India, at the Church of North India, said this week that until now, not a single member of a church in the region had died of Covid-19, despite the increase in cases across the country.
The strict blockade, however, led to great suffering in the communities, since people "were not at all ready for this long blockade".
