CHRISTIAN AID is dismissing numerous employees in a cutback program that will reduce its activities abroad. The process is a response to falling earnings and, according to the charity, a global strategy to redefine their future.
The equivalent of around 160 full-time positions will disappear in the course of the next year, although some new employees will be hired. Following the announcement in December (News, December 10, 2019), all UK centers will be closed except for the national offices in Cardiff, Edinburgh and London and the base of the Central Supporter Engagement team in Warrington, Lancashire.
