Really, it will rock your world even more, because it makes the FLAKIEST, wettest salmon that is just insanely amazing and perfect for the busy weekends when you need a simple dinner but NO TIME to cook!

So, like every dinner!

I usually like to season my salmon – honey sriracha miso-glazed salmon or Indian salmon curry – are my favorites. But sometimes?

You just have to KISS – just keep it silly (it's actually stupid, but that's not nice) and this simple dinner does just that.

On those busy days of the week when you've had a long day and come home hungry, you just want a meal that is easy to put together but tastes good too! Fish is surprisingly easy to prepare, cooks quickly, is very nutritious and tastes amazing. Ladies and gentlemen, I am giving you this delicious salmon recipe! It literally has only 2 ingredients and cooks in one of my FAVE devices – my air fryer! Who says midweek meals have to be boring? Put it on or eat it as it is, this salmon will not disappoint you!

One of the best things about using an air fryer to cook food is that it uses a lot less oil to cook your meal perfectly, but the taste is all there! If you are on the fence whether to get an air fryer or not, let this be your answer! When Cook salmon in the air fryeryou only need 2 ingredients:

How to cook salmon in the air fryer

Well, it didn't take long to collect our ingredients, did it? When you've grabbed olive oil and salmon, you're good to go!


Turn on your air fryer and set it to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Let it preheat completely.


Pat your salmon dry with a paper towel and drizzle the olive oil. Rub it in with your fingers so that the salmon is evenly covered. Place the salmon in the mesh basket of your air fryer.

Cook your salmon until it has reached the desired degree of cooking. Leave in the air fryer for 10 minutes after cooking.

How long to cook salmon in the air fryer?

For this perfect, medium-heavy degree on your piece of salmon, I recommend cooking it in your air fryer for about 6 to 9 minutes or until the inside temperature reaches 120 degrees Fahrenheit with a meat thermometer. Let the salmon rest for 10 minutes and the temperature will rise slightly again.

How do you know when salmon is ready?

You will know that your salmon is cooked and ready to eat if it has this "flaky" texture. I like to prod it carefully with a fork and when it's done it will peel off easily. You will also know that it is ready when the inside temperature reaches 120 degrees and then let rest for 10 minutes. Do not skip the rest, otherwise it will not be cooked enough!

This Air Fryer Salmon is a simple 2-ingredient weekday dinner that is naturally low in carbohydrates, paleo, gluten-free, whole 30 and keto-friendly!


  • 8th Oz Wild salmon caught (2 4 oz fillets)
  • 1 TL olive oil
  • sea-salt


  1. Rub the salmon with the olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt.

  2. Place it in the mesh basket of your air fryer and cook it at 400 degrees until an immediately readable thermometer in the middle shows 120 degrees F for about 6-8 minutes, depending on the thickness of the salmon.

  3. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes.
