- White wholemeal flour
- Italian flavored breadcrumbs
- Italian panko
- Italian spice
- Grated parmesan
- Big eggs
- Marinara sauce
- Grated mozzarella cheese
- Sliced basil for garnish
How to make Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan
After we collect our ingredients, it's GO TIME! Seriously people, this Air fryer Chicken Parm is comfort food at its best, better for you! How to do it:
Place the chicken breast between 2 pieces of parchment paper and flatten it to a thickness of about 1 cm with a meat hammer or rolling pin.
Put the flour on a large plate. Next, mix together the breadcrumbs, panko, Italian spices, salt and ⅓ cup of parmesan and spread it on another large plate with a rim. Finally, whisk the eggs in a medium bowl.
Dip the chicken in the flour and then in the egg with one hand, shaking the excess. With the other dry hand, press the chicken into the panko mixture and place it in the mesh basket of the air fryer. Repeat with the remaining chicken.
Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-10 minutes or until crispy!
Round off whole
Next, top the chicken with marinara sauce and cheese and cook for another 2-4 minutes or until the chicken's internal temperature reaches 165 degrees and the cheese has melted.
Sprinkle basil over it and enjoy !!

Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan
This Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan is just as crispy without deep frying! Healthy, high-protein and gluten-free! Great for the whole family!
- 1 lb Chicken breast (about 4 small breasts)
- 1/4 Cup White wholemeal flour (or GF general purpose)
- 1/3 Cup Italian flavored breadcrumbs (GF if necessary)
- 1/3 Cup Italian-flavored panko (GF if necessary)
- 4 1/2 TL Italian spice
- 3/4 TL salt
- 1/2 Cup + 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese, grated and divided
- 2nd Big eggs
- 1/3 Cup Marinara sauce
- 1/2 Cup Mozzarella cheese, Grated
- Sliced basil, for garnish
Place the chicken between two layers of parchment paper and press it about 1 cm thick with a rolling pin or meat mallet.
Place the flour in a large plate with a rim. Then mix the breadcrumbs, panko, Italian spices, salt and 1/3 cup of parmesan together and pour into another plate with a rim. Finally, whisk the eggs in a medium bowl.
With one hand, dip the chicken into the flour and then into the egg and shake off the excess. Use our other hand to cover the chicken with the panko mixture and press it down to coat it well. Place in the mesh fryer basket and repeat with all remaining chickens.
Bake at 400 degrees until the chicken starts to brown and become crispy, about 8-10 minutes.
Then spread the marinara sauce over the chicken, followed by the rest of the Parmesan cheese and the mozzarella cheese. Bake for another 2-4 minutes until the cheese has melted and the chicken inside is 165 degrees F.
Sprinkle with basil and REMOVE!
